Frequently Asked Questions
Do I need a physician referral or prescription?
Michigan is a direct access state which means that a client can see our team for rehabilitation over a period of 10 visits or 21 days before needing to be referred back to the client’s physician for continued care. Our team is able to offer unlimited visits for health and wellness physical therapy. Physical therapist offer rehabilitation when you are not able to perform activities of daily living at a functional and pain free state. Health and wellness physical therapy is offered when you are functional with your activities of daily living and want to continue on a journey to work towards optimal health.
Do you take health spending account (HSA) or flex spending account (FSA)?
Yes, your HSA/FSA can be used to pay for care. Our team will provide you with a detailed receipt called a super bill for you to give to your financial institution. Please review the rules and regulations regarding the use of funds in these accounts before your appointment to ensure eligibility.
Are you a Medicare Provider?
Medicare beneficiaries may receive services at our clinic on a self-pay basis. Prior to treatment, clients are required to sign an Advance Beneficiary Notice (ABN) acknowledging that the services provided are not covered by Medicare and will not be submitted to Medicare for reimbursement.
By signing the ABN, the client understands and agrees that they are financially responsible for all charges related to their care and that no claim will be submitted to Medicare for payment.

How often are treatments scheduled?
It is our team goal that you are an active participant in your care. However, the frequency of your PT treatments will be determined by the severity of your condition and or symptoms. With you as an active participant in your care, it may result in less visits needed to be successful in your healing journey. Typically patients are scheduled for 1 session a week for 3-6 weeks.
What Makes Our Care Different?
Our practice is designed to provide personalized, one-on-one care for women through every stage of life, including fertility, pregnancy, postpartum recovery, and beyond.
Every session is individualized and provided by the same physical therapist throughout your plan of care. This allows us to develop a deeper understanding of your goals, adjust your treatment plan as needed, and provide consistent support throughout your journey.
Because care is highly individualized, many of our clients find they need fewer visits overall to achieve their goals compared to more traditional models of care. We focus on helping you make meaningful progress while equipping you with the tools and confidence to continue succeeding outside the clinic.
Many women are surprised to learn that investing in their care may be comparable to—or even less than—the total cost of using insurance when co-pays, deductibles, referrals, and the number of visits required are considered.
Additionally, many out-of-network insurance plans provide reimbursement for our services, including some co-op insurance plans and select Blue Cross Blue Shield plans. We are happy to provide a list of questions to help you determine whether your plan offers out-of-network benefits for physical therapy services.
Our practice model is designed to provide personalized, one-on-one care with the same physical therapist throughout your treatment experience. By investing in individualized care, you receive focused attention, consistent support, and a treatment plan tailored to your unique goals and needs. We also offer virtual visits, allowing you to access care in a way that fits your lifestyle.
