Dr. Rachael Elizabeth

Hello I am Dr. Rachael and I love being a mama to my 5 children! My journey, as a mama, accelerated my passion to help women be excited rather than fearful of all aspects of motherhood.

I had my first baby almost 2 decades ago and I had no idea how to care for my body or my growing baby. I trusted in my care providers to help me through the process of being a growing mama. Surely they would help me learn how to nourish my body & help me in the delivery room?

However, a different story emerged. One that isn’t as beautiful as I had hoped. During labor, I remember lying on my side as the surges moved through my core and transferred throughout my body. The only relief I had was rubbing my head over and over with a washcloth to help ease the discomfort I was fearing would only get worse.

The contraction machine warned me of the surges before I would begin to feel them, which caused me a lot of fear. The only support that I had was my epidural, and the need to be coached to push on my back resulting in an unapproved episiotomy, and trauma to my girlie parts.

Several years later, after experiencing a natural birth, I saw this journey so differently that it became my passion. Pregnancy, birth, and postpartum looked completely different and empowering to me now, and I needed to prepare physically and mentally for each stage. Although there is an uncontrollable part to this journey, I had the skills and tools to prepare my body holistically. As a result, I went on to have my last three babes naturally and walked away with no symptoms or trauma, to (only…) minor soreness from birth. I felt so amazing that my Midwives had to caution me to rest more!

Using my experiences in motherhood and in my profession, I offer guidance, and solutions, to support women in caring for their bodies to feel clarity in the uncontrollable aspects of motherhood.

This approach enables my clients to make their holistic plan that helps them find confidence in the unknown, and to optimize their unique journey in motherhood.

Sharla Buza

Greetings, I am so honored to cross your path.

My name is Sharla and I am a mother and a wife, a Physical Therapist, Personal Trainer and Lifestyle Fitness Coach. I began my Women’s Health journey within a year of graduate school in the year 2000. At this time, I did not have a family, however I was very intrigued by the female body and changes that occur across the lifespan.

Upon having three children over a period of five years, I realized that my body had gone through many amazing and beautiful changes, however I needed to create a new baseline postpartum. By addressing my whole self in the healing process and using my professional knowledge, I was able to find the best version of myself. It is my personal mission to meet you where you are and help you do the same. I am excited to join Rachael and share the passion of helping women restore optimal health and wellness.

It would be a privilege to share and influence your healing journey.

Hey there, I’m Alexa. Dr. Rachael’s VA (virtual assistant 😉)!

Most days you can find me cuddled up with my pup Winston, my hair in pigtails, and my laptop in hand. Right now, it’s an exciting time! My husband and I have been married for 2 years now and are about to start the process of growing our little family.

You see, I have two Autoimmune diseases that have me on medications that I have been working diligently on getting off of to even consider starting this process. Till now, it’s been a dream and now that dream will be coming true!

When the opportunity to work with Dr. Rachael came around, it seemed like the stars were aligning! Being able to help her with her business, creating systems, helping with emails, social media, it’s taught me so much about the process of preparing for motherhood, understanding what is normal in our bodies and what we can work on.

I am excited for you to experience the same thing as you get to work with her directly!

Thanks for taking time to read this! I hope we get to connect soon 🙂

The Path to Wellness

I help mamas discover that the process of becoming and being a mother doesn’t have to be scary. Instead, pregnancy, giving birth and postpartum life can be customized to align with what they envision all stages of motherhood to be like.

So many mamas and mamas-to-be feel afraid of the unknown and wonder if they are going to be able to handle pregnancy, labor and delivery, and recovery. They are often led to believe they must rely on the health professionals on their team to tell them the right ways to stay healthy and happy in the process. But, what I know and believe is that mamas have so many tools and skills in their own power that can bring a healthy labor, delivery, and recovery for both mama and baby.

For 2 decades I’ve become a mom to 5 kids via multiple birth methods and settings, and I’ve also built a thriving women’s health physical therapy and coaching practice. In that process, I have learned first hand that each mom’s journey from pregnancy to recovery is unique and can be full of joy and excitement, rather than fear.
