Sport

Dr Rachael Elizabeth bio

Hey mama! Looking for a safe space to land while you’re
navigating “all
the things” on returning to sport postpartum?

Like myself, I bet you have spent hours, going down rabbit holes trying to learn:

  • How do I take care of my body after birth?
  • How do I best prepare my body to return to running or exercise?
  • How do I sleep, rest, or even think of exercising while caring for my new little one?
  • What movements or exercises can I do that won’t hurt my belly or pelvic floor as I am healing?

I see you and I have this covered for you mama.
My clients and I have done it all…

  • Read all the books, the mommy and postpartum blogs
  • Signed up for emails and online programs from various postpartum experts
  • Lurked on social media…and more.

But what I know from my own experience with 5 kids & my clients is that mamas can LEARN to handle whatever is thrown at them. But first, they find confidence and power for each part of the process. This confidence helps them uncover unconditional joy and calm through the adventure of postpartum recovery, even years after having their babe(s).

What if you knew you could be confident in the uncertainty of motherhood by using skill and tools in your own power to bring a healthy recovery and return to exercise OR (let’s face it) life!?

This is where I come in! I have helped mamas discover that the process of being a mama does not have to be scary.

This is why I team up with mamas so they have guidance, solutions, and support in the unknown adventures of motherhood and find joy and calmness in postpartum recovery.

Common but not normal misconceptions postpartum mamas are told:

  • “It is normal to have back pain (or any pain) after having baby.”
  • You will always leak urine now that you are a mama.”
  • “You have heaviness in your pelvic floor that will get better with time.”

What results my clients have shared with me:

  • “I no longer leak OR feel heaviness in my lady parts.”
  • “I did not have any pain after 1-2 visits and I have exercises, and activities I can do in future pregnancies!”
  • “I was able to return to run after baby without leaking.”
  • “I can jump with my children and not leak.”
  • “I went from being unable to lift my baby to lifting in the gym.”
  • “I have pain free sex with my husband!”

“I’ve been seeing Dr. Rachael on and off for the past year. I saw her about 9 months after my 2nd baby when dealing with incontenence and post partum changes. I went to a regular PT clinic initially but didn’t feel like I was quite “there” yet. I saw Rachael for about 2-3 visits over the course of about 2 months and I felt like I reached my goal! I was able to do jumps and heavy lifts in my CrossFit classes again which was the biggest improvement. Even so, I still felt my hormones have been off and after she made suggestions to my diet and timing (which turned out to help me A LOT) I decided to continue to see Rachael for health coaching and it’s made a big difference in my health journey. I had bloodwork done at my physical and she reviewed everything with me to see what other areas could be improved. The best part about the health coaching is I didn’t need to have a face to face visit and we did it virtually (busy mom and no time to get away makes this perfect!). Highly recommend…my sister is seeing her for health coaching now too.”

“I received excellent care/treatment from Dr. Rachael. I had no idea what to expect when it came to addressing my postpartum pelvic/hip/back issues, but Dr. Rachael was great at explaining every detail – and answering my myriad of questions. She took the time to thoroughly investigate my issues by talking through the questionnaire I answered, as well as an in-person exam. Over multiple visits, she provided PT exercises/stretching that I could easily do at home, and always followed-up with an email/texts to ensure I was feeling OK. Dr. Rachael was also very kind and friendly, and I could tell she genuinely cared about her patients and takes great pride in her practice and providing the best possible care. You can not go wrong with Dr. Rachael!!”

“Dr Rachael is truly passionate about her work and I highly recommend her.
She taught me many different techniques, exercises, nutrition tips and tools that would fit the care I needed for my recovery. I feel much more confident now and I am surprised to see the results in such a short period.
Besides that, she is very sweet, gentle and she always makes sure I understand and that I am comfortable with her.
I wish I would know her before for my prenatal prep but I am glad she keeps a very nice account on social media with many information so I am able to keep learning and being conscious about my health.”

“Rachael is fantastic. So kind and caring, and more than anything, she’s absolutely knowledgable in her profession. I really needed to find a good pelvic floor therapist after a complicated delivery and Rachael has been a wonderful therapist for me as I recover postpartum. She does complimentary phone consultations for new patients so I would definitely recommend calling her if anyone is looking to find a good pelvic floor therapist in the Rochester area.”

“Amazing person, so much knowledge!!! I am more than happy to have found her in the right moment when my body and my mind needed that strength…and the best thing: I didn’t even have to go out of my house for those sessions (great virtual coaching.”
