About Dr. Rachael
I had my first baby almost 2 decades ago and I had no idea how to care for my body or my growing baby. I trusted in my care providers to help me through the process of being a growing mama. Surely they would help me learn how to nourish my body & help me in the delivery room?
However, a different story emerged. One that isn’t as beautiful as I had hoped. During labor, I remember lying on my side as the surges moved through my core and transferred throughout my body. The only relief I had was rubbing my head over and over with a washcloth to help ease the discomfort I was fearing would only get worse.
About Dr. Rachael
The Path to Wellness
I help mamas discover that the process of becoming and being a mother doesn’t have to be scary. Instead, pregnancy, giving birth and postpartum life can be customized to align with what they envision all stages of motherhood to be like.
So many mamas and mamas-to-be feel afraid of the unknown and wonder if they are going to be able to handle pregnancy, labor and delivery, and recovery. They are often led to believe they must rely on the health professionals on their team to tell them the right ways to stay healthy and happy in the process. But, what I know and believe is that mamas have so many tools and skills in their own power that can bring a healthy labor, delivery, and recovery for both mama and baby.
For nearly 2 decades I’ve become a mom to 5 kids via multiple birth methods and settings, and I’ve also built a thriving women’s health physical therapy and coaching practice. In that process, I have learned first hand that each mom’s journey from pregnancy to recovery is unique and can be full of joy and excitement, rather than fear.

Ouch! Why does it hurt to sit after baby?
I have had several mamas tell me that their bums were not the same after having babies. They have so much pain in and around their tailbone that it is hard to sit for any period of time and that they are miserable. I have experienced this condition called coccydynia...
No need to hurt mama: How to heal Symphysis Pubis Pain in Pregnancy & Beyond
When I was finally done with my first trimester nausea and fatigue the pain rolled in. I was just sitting in a chair at a business meeting and stood up and it was ridiculous-pain in the front of my pelvis. I finally felt like I could function and now physically I can...
